What are real nylons?
Typical look: Real nylons with seam at the back, perforated edge and reinforced heel / toe.
Today's hold-up stocking or stocking stocking has little in common with the real nylon stocking of yesteryear. The real nylons are quasi the premier class of trousers for women. They can radiate pure elegance, but also have a magical attraction. In contrast to other stockings you can see immediately in the nylons, that these are such. This is mainly due to the fine, shimmering material (the nylon) and the small wrinkles that the stocking throws at the legs. But even with real nylon stockings, there are differences: So the classic nylon stocking from the past has the well-known high heel and the seam on the back. But there are also the so-called "RHT" ("Reinforced Heels and Toe"). This one has no seam on its back. However, when buying nylon stockings, there are some important points to keep in mind. Real nylon stockings are not stretchy. This is because they do not contain elastane as is the case with today's stockings. Nylon stockings must therefore fit perfectly to the leg. The stockings are usually sold after leg inner length and are already preformed.
Real nylons are a rarity today.
Real nylon stockings are today very difficult to get. This is also because today there are hardly any machines on which they can be produced. The production of nylon stockings is very expensive. That makes the nylon stocking so expensive. Prices in the range of 20 to 50 CHF per pair are quite common. In comparison, a pair of stockings is already available for less than 8 CHF. Nylon stockings with seam (called "Fully Fashioned Nylons") are usually more expensive than RHT stockings. The advantages of real nylons, however, are obvious: on the one hand they are the eye-catcher and on the other hand they adapt perfectly to the leg of the wearer and make the legs look incredibly long and attractive. Nylon stockings are hardly noticeable on the skin due to their material. You should take the exact mass of your legs before buying stockings, so as not to get the wrong size.
